TWO FRIENDS

"Death-you are so good a friend
You drop in uninvited.
Life-you are so good a companion,
Its nice to walk with you.

Death-you are so good a reliever,
You redeem all from pain.
Life-you are so loyal an ally,
You make me feel worthy.

Death - I appreciate you -
You are impartial.
Life - I love you-
You make men out of mud. "
These were Vishu's lines.Shweta read them over and over, many times a day, pondering ,on them or Vishu one couldn't say.

Death, you hit me so hard
I know you're for real
Life, you cut me so smooth
I know not, you're surreal

Life you fly me so high
I'm floating in mid-air
Death, you put me so low
I'm six-feet under with no room to spare

WOW!! These friends are too darn cool!! Ain't they?? Life is merely an illusion, death is the reality. Lol!!

See you when I see you...

profound.

reading this mind wandered a bit... the beginning and end always seem the same - say for example sunset and sunrise, the calm before storm - after storm.

p.s.:they say early bird catches the worm. but what if the worm was late? - my excuse for late comments :)

but they are all to less to describe your poetry these days... it blows me away...!! :)

life and death, two friends... superb...(even that is less!!)
loved it... sort of a ying and yang combination... one cant exist without the other!! :)
its beautiful in its simplicity. Its giving expressions to everybody's thoughts.

its the kind of dark poetry which makes you smile at its sheer ingenuity!!

Yeah Death s a friend who gives a suprise visit and just takes you along with him away from other friends.
And sure, Life s a sweet companion who may walk away from you at any time and never return. So make the best use of him.

Ok... So here's where it started...

Indeed, death is impartial. But do you really think life is an ally...? (No, I am not a morbid cynic.)

Death is a certainty... You enjoy the ride of life till death comes knocking. At that time life is not your ally. It submits to death...

Liked the underlying philosophy...

Peace.
Anwesa said…
@kartz,
life's always an ally coz it allows u 2 do things which can leave a mark on the world even after death grips one's lyf.
thanx 4 visiting!!
Kartz said…
Indeed. That's always there.

As I said, I liked the underling philosophy...

MRS DESPATCHER(PART II)

CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS POST… Eighteen months later…. I was beginning to like my work. It was a challenge sometimes. I had learnt to go beyond boundaries. The dreams which had eluded me once, were dawning as reality now. I had my taste of success and as they say nothing succeeds like success. I had developed a knack for solving my own problems. One day , I chanced by a couple who were seated in a corner of the quaint little coffee shop. I couldn’t believe my eyes…. Divya and Sandip…here of all places. I couldn’t help but confront them. Divya was warmer than ever before and Sandip… I knew he was feeling a bit coy..its so typical of him. But I was more than surprised when he asked me to join them. Though I didn’t refuse, they found me going after five minutes. I invited them for lunch on Sunday. It was a fine Sunday morning and my guests were sharp on time. Divya offered me help in the kitchen and I chose not to refuse. My books kept Sandip busy. She could read my mind and went on with h

ILLUSIONS OF REALITY...

The more you point out my mistakes, The more you are drawn towards me. The more you try to hurt me, The more you bleed in your heart. The more you run away from me, The more my memories haunt you. The more you want to forget me, The more you are reminded of my presence. The more you want to chase me away, The closer I come to you. The more you hate me, The more you end up loving me. The more you call me an “illusion” The more I dawn as the reality of your life….
