A VALENTINES' DAY...

I never ever thought I would spend my Valentine’s Day amidst chaos and anarchy. I like her even now.
*****
“C ’mon, I can’t buy the idea that you like working here. In this mofussil town, cut off from the life we love. This is not done.” It was my ever complaining wife’s voice. I knew there was no way to stop her. I said," They pay good money here and moreover, its home.”
“Home ? Did you say home? I thought we had a home in that city. "
“Please be quiet, Mom and Dad are in the next room.”
“Well, they ought to know how happy we are - together.”
“If you don’t want to be with me, you can always walk out. I’ll not stop you.”

“How dare you say that ?” she came to me and grabbed me by the collars. I would have slapped her tightly, hadn’t she been a lady.
I managed to loosen her grip but the damage had already been done. Both of us were furious and she suddenly decided to leave. Packed her bags." General class seat will do.”, she was talking on the phone. I was amazed by the fact that she sounded so calm after a bitter spat with me.
She was saying, more to herself than me,” I won’t ever leave you in peace, you understand. I’ll neither stay with you nor divorce you. I’ll see to it that you pine for me.”
I was perplexed yet assured that not much would happen. I can bring her back after sometime.
She boarded the Coromondel Express at 7 pm in the evening. I went to see her off but we didn’t exchange a word. Not even a goodbye. But in a few minutes everything changed. The news of derailment of the very same train shot up my adrenaline. I was jilted. I rushed to the spot.
*****
Its almost 2 AM now. I don’t have any news of her. Perhaps she has been rescued. Or couldn’t I identify her body ? My mind, body and soul shiver at this thought. Her words echo in my ear-“ I won’t ever leave you ….. I’ll see to it that you pine for me.”
I wish we hadn’t fought that day…

Will she ever come back to me ?

~the end~

Your story is a perfect example, for most of us it’s not so hard to believe that the world of life is changing every second but many times we think as if nothing will change there. The change that can happen to kick this life off forever, leaving you completely out of its sense, that is called life and that’s how we all are …

P.S: Mua ye comment odiare lekihi parilini :(

Built around a real-life incident... as always amazing... i think I need to take a course in English Adjectives to be able to compliment your writing...

It is so true... we never realize the worth of a person until we lose them... :(

ILLUSIONS OF REALITY...

The more you point out my mistakes, The more you are drawn towards me. The more you try to hurt me, The more you bleed in your heart. The more you run away from me, The more my memories haunt you. The more you want to forget me, The more you are reminded of my presence. The more you want to chase me away, The closer I come to you. The more you hate me, The more you end up loving me. The more you call me an “illusion” The more I dawn as the reality of your life….

CONFESSION OF A WOMAN...

When I'm born,I'm jeered at.When I'm a child,I'm made to believe that my reason for existence is somebody else. While I'm growing up,I'm discouraged to question. My brain and heart are numbed.I cannot die too, since it will bring infamity to my family.People would say,"At this age, what could have forced her to terminate herself ? She failed to materialize her fantasy.Such bad morals." I fast for the well-being of my father and brothers. When I outgrow my frocks,I'm let off to another household. There, I work for others, without pay.I have children but they treat me like a door-mat.Here too,I fast for my husband's and childrens' long, peaceful life. When the man of the house, who happens to be my "husband" dies,I shed a part of my soul.I have no right to live then,I just breathe and sit in a corner.Rest of my life is spent in praying-for death. They say, "Woman needs a man.In childhood, its father. In youth, its husband and in old age,i...
